Part 5, Japanese surrender documents are delivered to the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. Japanese Gen. Takeo-imai deplanes and surrenders to Chinese Nationalists in Chinkiang, China. U.S. prisoners are liberated from Nissen No. 2 and Omori prison camps. Adm. Matsubara boards the destroyer Bagley to surrender Marcus Island. Gen.
